VOLUNTEERS WANTED

Lutheran Community Services NW Adult Day Program is recruiting volunteers for the Bremerton site.

The Adult Day Center provides a structured social setting where vulnerable seniors and adults with disabilities can participate in stimulating, recreational and social activities. Sites provide social interaction, entertainment and a shared noon meal. This allows family caregivers respite time to run errands, take care of personal appointments or relax with family and friends. Duties would include assisting with setup and cleanup. Volunteers also would assist with conduction of small and large group activities, (e.g. discussion, crafts, games, etc.) and provide individual support to participants. Food Handler’s cards are required as volunteers assist with serving lunch. Volunteers would be working and assisting the site/activity coordinator and training is provided.
