Olympic College evacuated its Bremerton campus just after 2 p.m. on Monday and cancelled classes for the remainder of the day after police received a threat.
According to police, they received the threat through a public phone booth just after noon today. Police alerted Olympic College security, who decided to evacuate and close the campus around 2 p.m.
Bremerton police Capt. Tom Wolfe said the threat did not appear to be credible at this point in time. Wolfe said they could not release much more information since the investigation was in progress but did say police were working on a lead.
Staff at Bremerton High School, which is located adjacent to the Olympic College Bremerton campus, said the incident will not affect any of the high school’s after school programs.
