Westsound Bank, the operating subsidiary of WSB Financial Group, recently announced the relocation of its branch office in Silverdale and the construction of a new, permanent branch office in Poulsbo.

Scheduled to open in early November, the new Silverdale branch is located at 3035 NW Bucklin Hill Road and will offer improved parking and drive-up service. The building will have minor improvements prior to its opening and was most recently occupied by Geico Insurance.

Westsound Bank has been serving the Silverdale community since the branch opened in 2001. The branch will continue to offer full-service banking.

In Poulsbo, the new branch office will be constructed next to the existing office at 21895 Viking Way, at the corner of Highway 305. Westsound Bank opened the full-service Poulsbo branch location in February 2006. The new office will further enhance the service afforded to its Poulsbo clientele. The new building is scheduled to open for business in summer 2009.

The Poulsbo branch will feature a clock tower, two drive-up lanes and 3,700-square feet of office space with vaulted wood ceilings.

“These upgraded services and improved locations demonstrate our commitment to building a solid franchise in the greater Olympic Peninsula,” said Terry Peterson, president and CEO, “We make it our practice to employ local contractors in the construction of a new office and are excited to be able to reinforce our commitment to these valued market areas,” he continued.

Richard Prine, principal of Prine Architects on Bainbridge Island, is the architect for both locations.
