NORTH END — It’s another sign of the times — the Cascade Cycle Club’s Kitsap Color Classic is slated for this Sunday.

Just as the weather and the leaves start to change, and you start to think it’s time to rack up the cycle and turn in for the winter-long hiatus, the Cascade Cycle Club puts on one last hurrah to herald the ceremonial end of the season.

But the season never really ends. Each year the club comes to Kitsap to celebrate autumn with three different loops “through some of the best riding country in the state,” they say, riding through the North End’s “friendly communities” and “terrific fall scenery.”

There’s an Indianola loop (14 miles), a Hansville loop (25 miles) and one from Poulsbo/Port Gamble loop (36 miles), plus a few combinations there of.

The day-of-ride registrations will be from 9-11 a.m. in the parking lot of the Kitsap Bank at the intersection of Highway 104 and Hansville Road — which will also serve as a food stop.

The course will be open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Oct. 5.

Riders of all ages are welcome.
