According to the Naval Base Kitsap Facebook page, all next week the Bangor base will conduct tactical training.

“Security personnel will be conducting tactical training June 9-13 on Naval Base Kitsap, Bangor. Equipment testing in preparation for the training will occur on Sunday, June 8. During the training and equipment testing, personnel will be using flashbangs (also known as a stun grenade) and firing blanks. This will generate some noise and some (very minor) smoke. This is part of regular, required training for security force personnel.”
