The Central Kitsap Community Council next week will meet to talk about school and county budgets and the incorporation of Silverdale.
Also in attendance will be county and state leaders.
The council will meet from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Central Kitsap School District administrative building, 9210 Silverdale Way.
Council President Bob Moyer said the biannual town hall meetings typically feature at least three or four of the state lawmakers. So far, only state Rep. Christine Rolfes, D-Bainbridge Island, has confirmed.
County Commissioner Josh Brown is scheduled to present budget numbers from the county level.
Central Kitsap School District Superintendent Greg Lynch is scheduled to give a report on the district’s budget, one that may require significant trimming because of the $100 million cut to K-12 education.
