Business people and the general public will have an opportunity to learn more about Kitsap Peninsula businesses at the West Sound Business Expo 2015 on Feb. 19.
The expo has a “Hollywood” theme and will be hosted at the Kitsap County Fairgrounds at the Kitsap Sun Pavilion. It is free to the public and a special kid zone will also be set up. $5,000 in prizes will be given away.
Damon Hammond, administrative assistant for the Bremerton Chamber, said that business folks would set up their booths at 10 a.m. and mingle and network with fellow business people.
“It was just something they did to bring all the businesses together in one place so everybody can get to know each other,” Hammond said–a chance for new business people to get to know established businesses and for established business people to better-connect with their peers.
“It’s 100-plus businesses, so you know other business owners and like-minded people are going to be there,” he said.
Later, from 2-7 p.m., the general public is invited to check out what the Peninsula has to offer. Hammond said there could well be 200, 300 or 400 people per hour perusing the booths.
Area chambers of commerce from Bremerton, Silverdale, Port Orchard, Poulsbo, North Mason and Bainbridge Island are participating in the event.
John Hunter is chairman for the expo and Kitsap Credit Union is the premier sponsor of the event. For more information visit bremertonchamber.org/.
