Firefighters from the Bremerton Fire Department Local #437 will be out in support of the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) on Friday, May 31 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. with boots in hand.

Firefighters supporting the MDA will be located in front of Arnold’s Furniture on Kitsap & Marine, ready to collect donations from motorists throughout the day.Come out and donate and say “hi” and support your local firefighters.

Committed to ending neuromuscular diseases, the International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF) is a longtime friend and supporter of the MDA.

“Fill the Boot” drives are the primary means by which the IAFF has raised almost $460 million for the MDA since 1954.

Proceeds raised during the street side campaign will help support the MDA services and research programs locally and nationally, including medical clinics staffed with specialists in neuromuscular disease and special summer camps for kids.

This is the 59th year the IAFF members will hit the streets to bring help and hope to the MDA.
