GOOD WINES FOR TOUGH TIMES: The Bainbridge Wine Weekend — a ‘recession friendly’ celebration of local wineries, regional art, food and live music — is set for Aug. 28-30 throughout Bainbridge Island. On Friday, local restaurants will be pouring local wines, Saturday night Islandwood will host an all-local wine and food dinner and from 1 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, there will be wine sampling, a recession-friendly art show plus art demos, live music from Ranger and the Rearrangers and the wine bus, shuttling connoisseurs to and from local wineries at $10 a ticket. 21+.
