TACOMA — Joint Base Lewis-McChord hosts a Vietnam-era Veterans’ Salute Ceremony on Oct. 9, 1-5 p.m., and invites all Vietnam-era veterans and their families to attend and be recognized. 

The purpose of the ceremony is to provide Vietnam-era veterans the welcome home they deserved but never received.

Events include the salute ceremony, massing of the colors, pinning ceremony, and interactive displays with servicemembers. Gen. Barry McCaffrey, USA (ret.) is the scheduled keynote speaker.
