We need to think what is best for our country | Letter to the editor

We need to think what is best for our country and get informed and get the hatred and lies out of politics. Don’t forget to vote if you haven’t already done so.

We need to ask ourselves:

Would you like to have Trump as a neighbor, as your children’s teacher, your minister, or school principal or superintendent?

Would you hire him as a judge or sheriff?

Is there anything you would be happy with?

If he were to be your neighbor, he would no doubt tell you where to park if the driveway was shared with him. Would you put your house up for sale right away or after you became sick with his insults and abuse?

If you wouldn’t want him for any of the above, why would you want him anywhere near the White House? I find so many Republicans that seem to be locked into voting for Trump, even though I am sure most of them know his extreme ways. They seem to not have much open-mindedness. If Trump was a Democrat, I feel I am open-minded enough to vote Republican if they had a better candidate.

We need to think what is best for our country and get informed and get the hatred and lies out of politics. Don’t forget to vote if you haven’t already done so.
