Sean Cochran drove by Ceasar’s Restaurant & Bar every day and the “For Sale” sign always caught his eye.

With prior restaurant experience, Sean and his wife, Cathi, jumped at the chance to run their own restaurant and bought the place.

Sean and Cathi, of Port Orchard, took over Ceasar’s on Wheaton Way in April and are busy fixing up the restaurant. Sean stays busy in the kitchen, cooking up the food, while Cathi makes the homemade desserts and helps out with the office work.

Sean began cooking as a child and worked at various restaurants during the years. Ceasar’s serves up general American cuisine ranging from classic breakfast foods to steaks and hand-battered fish. Cathi and Ceasar’s waitress Tina McBride agree that Sean’s speciality is burgers.

“He’s a fantastic cook, his whole family is,” Cathi said.

Ceasar’s offers reasonably priced meals, including dishes for $5 or less.

“We want to fill ‘em up for a good price,” Sean said.

Sean and Cathi said they would like to host a free meal night at Ceasar’s once a month for families who cannot afford to dine out. The Cochrans said people could donate money to put toward the free meals. Sean and Cathi have six children of their own and Sean said they know what it’s like to go through hard times and want to help other families by offering free meals.

“I want to give back to the community while making a living for my family,” Sean said.

The Cochrans have big plans for the Bremerton restaurant. They plan to change the name of the establishment to Club (360) Bar & Grill in the near future and expect to open the bar in about a month. Sean and Cathi said there will be dancing and karaoke at Ceasar’s once the bar is ready to go. Cathi added that Ceasar’s will be a family restaurant by day and a 21+ establishment in the evening, complete with dancing and drinks.

“We just want a nice place where people can come to have fun,” Cathi said.

Ceasar’s is currently offering a gas card giveaway throughout August. Anyone who purchases a regularly priced meal will receive one entry into a raffle for a $100 gas card. Ceasar’s has two $100 cards to give away and the raffle will be held during their grand opening on Saturday, Sept. 6.
