The Kitsap Firefighters Benevolent Fund is teaming up with Cloverleaf Sports Bar & Grill and Silver City Brewery to raise money for their Benevolent Fund. The Cloverleaf will host Kitsap Oktoberfest Sept. 14 from noon until 6 p.m.

The Kitsap Oktoberfest will be held outdoors in the Cloverleaf parking lot in downtown Bremerton. The Oktoberfest will feature authentic German cuisine, live music, games, and local brewed beers by Silver City Brewery, including Oktoberfest Bavarian Hefeweizen, Ridgetop Red, and Saint Florian IPA.

Fundraising activities will include a benefit raffle, auction, and the the sale of commemorative glassware.

“The Cloverleaf and Silver City are huge contributors to the Kitsap Firefighters Benevolent Fund and are essential partners to our efforts to raise money to support our cause,” said John Toellefson, vice president of the KFFBF.

The Oktoberfest celebration brings in nearly $8,000 annually.

The event has changed locations in part because it has outgrown its previous location.

“While we enjoyed hosting this event in years past we’re happy to pass the baton of this event to our friends at the Cloverleaf,” said Silver City Brewery owner Scott Houmes.

“The expansive parking lot will allow a lot more room for more fest goers to participate.” Scott added. “We’re very proud of this annual event in helping our local Fire Fighters.”

Tickets for the Oktoberfest are $10 in advance and $15 at the door if they are still available. Tickets include entry, a raffle ticket, a bratwurst and first beer of choice.

The Kitsap Firefighter benevolent commemorative pint glasses will go on sale at Cloverleaf Bar & Grill, Silver City Restaurant, & Silver City Brewery Taproom on Sept. 9 for $10.

During the week, the commemorative pint glasses can be used at each location for special pricing at all times for select beers on tap.

The Kitsap Firefighters Benevolent Fund and recently incorporated Bremerton Firefighters Local 437, are charitable organizations originally started by IAFF Local 2819 in 2001.

Reorganized as a separate entity in 2011, the Association’s primary function is benevolent and charitable purposes for the benefit of citizens and visitors to Kitsap County; promoting the betterment and general welfare of firefighters, their families and the general public in times of need.
