KINGSTON — An installation service will be held at Bayside Church Aug. 25, at 10:30 a.m. for Bayside’s new pastor, Dr. Kerry “Mac” McRoberts. A reception will follow the service. The installation is open to the public.

McRoberts holds a master’s degree in Christian Studies from Regent College in Vancouver, B.C., and a doctor of ministry degree from George Fox in Portland. His emphasis for his doctoral study was Leadership and Emerging Culture. He is the author of several books, most recently “A Letter from Christ: Apologetics in Cultural Transition.”

“My passion is … responding to people in spiritual exile … without hope and without God in this world,” McRoberts said. “Providence has brought us together with Bayside church and the Kingston community. What a blessing that is.”
