PSP’s Ecosystem Coordination Board meets Sept. 19 in Port Orchard

The Puget Sound Partnership’s Ecosystem Coordination Board will meet Thursday, Sept.19, from 10 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. in the Commissioners Chamber Room at the Kitsap County Administrators Office, 619 Division St., Port Orchard.

The Puget Sound Partnership’s Ecosystem Coordination Board will meet Thursday, Sept.19, from 10 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. in the Commissioners Chamber Room at the Kitsap County Administrators Office, 619 Division St., Port Orchard.

The Ecosystem Coordination Board is the policy advisory body of the Puget Sound Partnership. Meeting topics primarily focus on the Partnership’s three strategic initiatives: preventing pollution from urban stormwater runoff, protecting and restoring habitat, and recovering shellfish beds.

The ECB will be asked to provide input on the:

• Science Panel’s Pressure Assessment Project.

• Inclusion of Canadian representation in the Management Conference.

• Planning for the 2013-14 state legislative session.

• 2013 State of the Sound report.

• Action Agenda planning.

The agenda also includes several presentations related to the Puget Sound Action Agenda strategic initiatives: recovering shellfish beds, protecting and restoring habitat, and preventing pollution from stormwater.
