There’s a new ribbon in town courtesy of Bonaventure Senior Living and its “Bonaventure and You” campaign.  Local resident Theron Chamberlain is sporting this new pin  and was the first resident at Park Vista to qualify a gift of $1,000 to his favorite charity.

He made the decision to start to move into Park Vista, and because he moved in prior to Jan. 1, he has also helped Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research with a new $1,000 donation.

A green ribbon pin with a silver dove in the middle represents the “Bonaventure and You” donation program.  The campaign was launched in November and was driven by new residents who moved in to local Bonaventure retirement communities across the Northwest prior to Jan. 1.

Upon move in, the new resident chooses their favorite charity which receives a $1,000 gift in the residents’ name.  In addition, current residents or other charities that refer a new resident who moves in will give or get $500 as well.

A special celebration entitled Heroes of Hope is Thursday, Jan. 24 at 3 p.m. at Park Vista to distribute the checks to the qualifying charities and the public is invited.  At the celebration, Bonaventure will celebrate the individuals and charities (our Heroes of Hope) that make such a substantial impact in our community every day.

In addition to the charities receiving Bonaventure and You checks, Park Vista residents have also chosen six additional local charities to honor at the event and receive $250 donations.
