The Doctors Clinic Sports Physical Screening and Student Health Fair will offer sports physicals for student athletes in seven through 12th grade, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday at Salmon Medical Center, 2200 NW Myhre Road, Silverdale.

Suggested donation is $10 (cash only, please), which includes the sports physical screening. All proceeds will be donated back to Kitsap school athletic programs.

The Health Fair includes vision testing, injury prevention and nutrition information, a CPR demonstration, asthma screening and education, skin care and sun protection education, plus prizes.

Presented by TDC Orthopedics, the event gives parents with middle to high-school aged students a chance to get a jump on next year’s sports physical requirement, as well as receive health education tailored to young people’s needs.

This is the second annual Student Health Fair.

“We had a great response to last year’s  Health Fair, which we held in August, but this year we decided to offer it before students head off for vacation,” said Cori Berg, Clinic Manager at The Doctors Clinic’s Salmon Medical Center. “This is a great opportunity, particularly for a family with several student athletes.”

To pre-register, call Jodie Gagnon at (360) 830-1324, or email her at jgagnon@thedoctorsclinic.com.

Walk-ups will be accepted until 11:30 a.m. Saturday, as space permits. Students must be accompanied by a parent.
