Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office detectives are seeking information about a man in his 20s to 30s who attempted to abduct a woman July 17 in the 1500 block of SE Cedar Road, just outside the Port Orchard city limits south of Sedgwick Road.
The woman who reported the attempted kidnapping is in her 20s, according to sheriff’s office spokesman Scott Wilson.
She was walking along the street at around 4 p.m. when a light blue extended-cab truck pulled up and a man got out. The woman told deputies that he then attempted to grab her, but she was able to outrun him. Wilson said she was unharmed.
The suspect, described by Wilson as a white male in his 20s to 30s, has reddish hair, a goatee and a laceration to his left hand. He was reported to be wearing dirty pants, a dirty black t-shirt and brown boots. The victim said his truck had a cream-colored canopy, chrome striping and a broken window.
Wilson said detectives are reviewing the case. He asked that anyone with information about the case to call 911. The incident case number is K16-006834.
