POULSBO — The Poulsbo Noon Lions Club will host its 42nd annual Viking Fest Lions Pancake Breakfast on May 18-19, in the North Kitsap High School cafeteria.
Hours are 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 18; and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 19.
The breakfast includes all-you-can-eat pancakes with eggs, sausage, milk, juice, coffee and tea. The cost of the breakfast is $7 for adults and $5 for children 12 and younger. Tickets will be available at the door.
Net proceeds from this event go to scholarships for North Kitsap-area high school students.
There is plenty of free parking available on site. In addition, shuttle buses will operate between the Marine Science Center parking lot and the high school parking lot from 8 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. on May 18. The cost is $2 roundtrip per person, ages 5 and older.
Lions Club members will have a collection box at the breakfast and encourage the community to bring used eyeglasses, including non-prescription “readers” and non-prescription sunglasses, for recycling. Also, the Poulsbo Lions Evening Pride branch will offer free vision screening services.
The Poulsbo Lions Club has 92 members and meets every Thursday, 12:15 p.m., in the First Lutheran Church. The Evening Pride branch meets the first and third Thursday, 6:30 p.m., at St. Olaf’s Catholic Church.

Since 1917, Lions clubs have aided the blind and visually impaired, the hearing impaired, and those with diabetes.
