This weekend is the time to lighten up at meal time and allow space for the 6th Annual Taste of Port Orchard on Sunday, Sept. 4.

The chow fest will run from  11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Port Orchard Marina Waterfront Park.

Organizers said they have planned for tasty treats from a variety of local restaurants and caterers.

Some of the attending restaurants and caterers include Wigwam Pub, MoonDogs Too,  Pho Kai, LaPalapa Mexican Grill, Nostalgia Bakery, The Dock Bar & Eatery, HomeMade Cafe and Carter’s Chocolates.

Baked goodies, photography, jewelry, face painting, watercolor art and Northwest smoked salmon also will be available for sale.
