Kingston recorded its first win of the season Thursday against Klahowya. The Buccaneers won in four sets, with scores of 26-24, 19-25, 25-14 and 25-22. Katy Mitchell had 10 kills for the Bucs, and teammate Alexia Johnson led on defense with 21 digs.

North Kitsap defeated Bremerton in three straight sets Thursday, with scores of 25-11, 25-7 and 25-5. Sarah Baugh led the Viking offense with nine kills and 12 assists. Claire Torstenbo was 22-23 serving with nine aces, and Taylor Ottomano had eight kills. Bryana Bohl led the defense with nine digs.

Olympic 101, North Kitsap 75

North Kitsap sophomore Bethany Aban broke her own school record in the 100-yard backstroke Thursday. Aban put up a time of 1 minute, 3.61 seconds, beating the time of 1:04.77 she posted in a meet against Kingston last week.

The Buccaneers fell to the Trojans Thursday at the North Kitsap pool.
