‘Scarecrow Contest’ hosted by South Kitsap Helpline

Individuals can decorate their most imaginative scarecrow and donate it through Nov. 15 to be entered in the contest, according to Jennifer Hardison, executive director.

South Kitsap Helpline will host a “Scarecrow Contest” this year.

The organization is seeking donations of scarecrows for its food bank gardens.

Individuals can decorate their most imaginative scarecrow and donate it through Nov. 15 to be entered in the contest, according to Jennifer Hardison, executive director.

Hardison said there will be a children (ages 18 and under) and an adult winner for each category — funniest, scariest/spookiest and most creative scarecrow. She said winners will be notified by Nov. 22.

South Kitsap Helpline is located at 1012 Mitchell Ave., Port Orchard. It is open Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
