Fire ’em all, let the voters sort them out

Array

The other day as I was driving, I got behind a car with a bumper sticker that read “This fall, fire them all. Re-elect nobody.”

As I continued to drive, I began to think about our Congress. The more I thought, the more I had to agree with the bumper sticker. What has Congress done for the common good?

Our country is drowning in debt — and Congress just continues to spend, spend, spend.

How do they intend to pay for their spending? Tax, tax, tax.

If we citizens used Congressional accounting techniques, we would wind up in jail.

Congress is addicted to pork like an alcoholic is addicted to liquor.

Our citizens work more hours for less pay, but Congress works Tuesday to Thursday, with three months of paid vacation.

No matter how the economy is suffering, Congress gets its yearly pay increases.

Americans worry about medical coverage, and Congress spends over six months to come up with a disaster. Then it makes sure to exclude itself from the bill.

Good advice: “This fall, fire them all. Re-elect nobody.”
