Shirley Thompson of Hansville died July 20, 2007 in Hansville. She was 82.

Thompson was born to Thomas R. Parker and Minna M. Parker in Omaha, Neb. on June 16, 1925.

She married Lester E. Thompson in 1991 in Las Vegas.

Thompson worked on several projects during her life including making mittens for the USO during WWII, building a B-52 and teaching swimming lessons.

She enjoyed knitting, coin collecting, garage sales, reading, bible study and trips to the casino. She was a member of the American Legion and a member of the North Kitsap Baptist Church.

Thompson is survived by her sons Thomas and Stephen; daughters Sandra and Judy; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Thompson was preceded in death by her husband Lester E. Thompson and her brother Jack.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. on July 25at North Kitsap Baptist Church, 20516 Little Valley Road.
