LITTLE BOSTON — Rudolph Mark Purser passed away on Feb. 15 at Harrison Medical Center in Bremerton.
He was 88.
He was born on Aug. 17, 1927 and grew up on the Port Gamble S’Klallam Reservation. He worked for Pope and Talbot Lumber Mill. He enjoyed playing baseball and later watching his son, grandchildren and great-grandchildren play. In his later years, he loved spending time at Point Julia with his wife.
Rudolph is survived by his wife, Rose Purser; children, Marcelene Sparks (George), Aaron Purser, and Ruth Ann Anderson; 16 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren and 20 great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his son, Rudolph Purser Jr.; former wife, Ida Purser; and his parents, three sisters and two brothers.
Services took place at the Port Gamble Tribal Gym. Memorial contributions may be made to the Port Gamble S’Klallam Youth Program, 31912 Little Boston Road NE, Kingston, WA 98346.
