Tasha Estelle Woodard died Feb. 12 at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. She was 42.
Woodward was born on Aug. 9, 1966 in Bremerton. She was a resident of Shelton — Skokomish Nation. She moved to the area from Alaska when she was 15 years old. Tasha enjoyed being on the beach, going on canoe journeys, native drumming, music of the 70s and 80s, her mother’s cooking, loving her children and teasing her stepdad, whom she called “Dad.”
She is survived by her children, Eddie Hoeflin of Bremerton and Milon Woodard of Missouri. She also leaves behind her mother, Josephine Sable of Shelton, and many loving aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her brother Eddie Kolbo in 1964.
