Mary-Rowland Davies of Silverdale died Dec. 17 at Naval Hospital in Bremerton. She was 66 years old.
She was born May 4, 1935 in Manila, the Philippines, to Edward and Mary-Rowland (Carter) Bomar.
She graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in Washington, D.C., in 1952 and attended Mary Washington College in Virginia for two years. She married Peter Gale Davies on May 2, 1981 in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.
She was a homemaker and former owner of The Sign Man before selling it in 1996.
She was president and past treasurer of the Bremerton Symphony League and chaplain for Chapter C.G.P.E.O. Sisterhood.
She is survived by two daughters, Lolana Grace Fontaign of Boise, Idaho, and Rebecca Lynn Paige of Vancouver; a son, Sam Paige of Salem, Ore.; and a brother, Edward Bomar III of Bainbridge Island; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and parents. Memorial services are scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 5, at Summit Avenue Presbyterian Church, 403 Summit Ave. in Bremerton.
