Pat Mott died on May 9, 2007. The Bremerton resident was 91.
Mrs. Mott was born on June 20, 1915, in Seattle to Leland and Edith Buckley. She graduated from Lincoln High School and then moved to Bremerton in 1939.
She worked as a teletype operator at PSNS during World War II. She married Bill McLean in 1943. In the following years, she lived in a variety of locations until she returned to Bremerton in 1980. She was widowed twice before she married Barney Mott in 2003; they enjoyed four wonderful years filled with trips and many local activities.
Mrs. Mott was an optimistic, active woman with many hobbies: golfing, gardening, crossword puzzles, making homemade fudge and knitting. Boating was a lifelong passion for Mrs. Mott.
She volunteered at Hospice for 17 years. She was very active at Anchor of Hope Church in Silverdale where she was loved by all.
Survivors include her brother Bill Buckley of Tucson, Ariz.; daughters Judy Peterson of Woodland, Wash. and Christi Hays of Yucaipa, Calif.; three grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
A memorial celebration service is scheduled for what would have been Mrs. Mott’s 92nd birthday. The celebration is at 4:30 p.m., today, Wednesday, June 20, at the Anchor of Hope Church, 10625 Ridgetop Boulevard.
