Longtime Silverdale businessman Terrence Michael Simons died Aug. 31, 2006, at his Bremerton home. He was 63 years old.
Mr. Simons and his wife Kristi started Silverdale Plumbing & Heating in 1975. In 1997 they moved the business from its original location in Old Town Silverdale to the Fairfield Business Park. Mr. Simons also developed residential and commercial real estate including Huckleridge, Rosewild and Twelve Oaks housing developments and Simons Buildings on Byron Street, Mickelberry Business Park and Fairfield Business Park.
He was born July 9, 1943, in Bremerton to Maurice and Louise (Danielson) Simons. He graduated from North Kitsap High School in 1962. He married his wife Kristi (Korb) Simons Aug. 29, 1964, in Silverdale. Mr. Simons was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, boating and spending time at his ranch in Montana. Silverdale Plumbing was a founding donor of the Kitsap Community Foundation. Mr. Simons was a life member of the Ducks Unlimited, Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation and the Arizona Elk Society.
He is survived by his wife of the family home; son Blake (Jody) Simons of Roy, Mont.; daughter Kerri (Brian) Simons-Morkert of Bremerton; brother Mark Simons of Poulsbo; sister Laureen Milbrath of Vashon Island; five grandchildren, Rachael and Seth Simons, and Brianne, Haley and Kali Morkert.
