Robert John Brink, 78

Robert John Brink of Tacoma died March 2, 2005 in University Place. He was 78.

Brink was born May 13, 1926 in Mitchell, S.D.

He served in the U.S. Navy in the Pacific Theater from 1943-1947 and later worked for the U.S. Postal Service, retiring as Chief Financial Officer.

Brink spent his retirement years in Washington, California and Nevada. He loved traveling throughout the country, visiting family and friends, dancing and ladies. He was known for his wit and charm.

Brink is survived by his sons Fred (Kathy) Brink of Banning, Calif. and James (Linda) Brink of Newport Coast, Calif.; daughters Beverly (Frank) Orendain of Yuma, Ariz. and Patti (Bob) Kelley of Poulsbo; 13 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister.

A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. April 2 at Breidablik Evergreen Cemetery in Poulsbo.
