Harold A. Davis, Jr. 83
Poulsbo resident Harold A. Davis died May 24, 2004 in Poulsbo. He was 83.
Davis was born to Harold A. and Violet (Maxwell) Davis in Port Orchard on Aug. 8, 1920.
He married Merleene M. Cole on April 17, 1943 in Port Orchard.
Davis was educated in the South Kitsap area and graduated from South Kitsap High School in 1939.
He served in World War II in the U.S. Navy.
Davis was a machinist at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard in Bremerton. He began working in 1941, served in WWII, then returned to the shipyard to work until his retirement in 1974.
Davis enjoyed traveling in a travel trailer, fishing, working on cars and playing golf. He was a Presbyterian.
Davis is survived by his wife Merleene M. (Cole) Davis of Poulsbo; daughter Jeanine (Jack) Moriarty of Poulsbo; one granddaughter; and three great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held at 10 a.m. May 29 at The Stone Chapel in Poulsbo. The Stone Chapel is also taking care of the funeral arrangements. A burial will take place at Forest Lawn Cemeter
