Mary Schechert, 92
Mary Mae Schechert of Poulsbo died March 15, 2007 in Silverdale. She was 92.
Schechert was born to Frank Sullivan and Anne Jones in Montreal, Quebec, Canada on Feb. 22, 1915.
Schechert married Martin Schechert on March 4, 1931 in Poulsbo. She attended Silverdale grade schools and Silverdale Union High School.
She was a homemaker, and she also worked at the Poulsbo Oyster Plant and the Bangor Ammunition Depot Cafeteria. She enjoyed bowling, camping and spending time with her grandchildren.
Schechert is survived by sons Glenn Schechert of Poulsbo and Clyde Schechert of Poulsbo; brothers Lester Tisher of Bremerton and Howard (Pearl) Tisher of Wenatchee; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and two-great great-grandchildren.
Schechert was preceded in death by her husband Martin Schechert and sister Avis (Tisher) McLoughlin.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. March 23 at Vinland Lutheran Church in Poulsbo.
