Mary Joyce (Crawford) Kronnagel died Oct. 10, 2007. The one-year resident of Naperville, Ill., and formerly of Silverdale, was 74.
She was born Jan. 17, 1933, in Monmouth Junction, N.J.
Mrs. Kronnagel grew up on a farm in rural New Jersey, worked at her family’s soda fountain business as a teenager and was a graduate of Jamesburg High School in Jamestown, N.J.
She married her husband, Julius, Aug. 20, 1960, and because of his Navy career they lived in many different places throughout the years, including Key West, Fla.; Norfolk, Va.; Guantanamo Bay, Cuba; Newport, R.I.; New Jersey and Keyport.
Mrs. Kronnagel was employed by the U.S. Department of Defense in Keyport for 20 years and was a former member of Silverdale Lutheran Church. She recently was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Naperville. She also was a member of the Children’s Orthopedic Guild in Silverdale and enjoyed shopping, knitting and reading.
She is survived by her daughter Kimberly (Dan) Jeske of Naperville; two grandchildren Julie and Jackie; and four nieces and a nephew.
She was preceded in death by her husband Julius Kronnagel; her parents LeRoy and Myrtle Crawford; and two siblings LeRoy and LaVerne Crawford.
Inurnment is scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, at Island Lake Cemetery in Silverdale.
Memorial Services will follow at 11 a.m. at Silverdale Lutheran Church, 11701 Ridgepoint Dr. NW.
