Raymond L. Hanson, Poulsbo, died at home on April 1. He was 79 years old.

Originally from North Dakota, he and his wife Marcella retired to Poulsbo in 1983.

He was a much -loved member of his church and of his community.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Marcella P. Hanson, Poulsbo; sons Chris Hanson of Bainbridge Island and Nick Hanson of Seattle, daughter Holly Stuart, Poulsbo, five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Memorial services will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, April 14 at Suquamish United Church of Christ, 18732 Division Ave. N.E. in Suquamish.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Kitsap County.
