Guy Harold Ungren, 78
Guy Harold Ungren of Poulsbo died March 20, 2004 in Poulsbo. He was 78.
Ungren was born to John and Lillian (Balcom) Ungren in Edmonds on Sept. 19, 1925.
He married Leda Simpson on Nov. 15, 1946 in Idaho Falls, Idaho.
Ungren attended Bremerton High School.
He served in the U.S. Army from 1944-1946, serving in World War II and achieving the rank of Spec-5. He later worked as a serviceman at Cascade Natural Gas for 31 years until his retirement in 1993.
He enjoyed baseball, coaching teams from pee wee to high school. He also enjoyed cards and coins. He was a Lutheran.
Ungren is survived by his wife Leda (Simpson) Ungren of Poulsbo; sons Gary (Mitzy) Ungren of Bremerton, Jerry (Virginia) Ungren of Eglon, David Ungren of Poulsbo, Denny Ungren of Bremerton, Ronnie Ungren of Poulsbo and Guy Kevin (companion Patsy Smith) Ungren of Bremerton; daughters Donna (Doug) McNea of San Jose, Calif., Nancy (Roy) Cole of Bremerton and Patty Becker of Costa Mesa, Calif.; brothers Bill (Evelyn) Ungren of Bremerton, Bobby (Carol) Ungren of Bremerton, Jim (Ellen) Clough of Bremerton and Edward (Carol) Clough of Bremerton; mother Lillian Clough of Bremerton; 24 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his brother John Wesley Ungren, father John Ungren and stepfather Albert Clough.
