Karen M. Miller, formerly of Poulsbo, died Nov. 28. She was 69.
Miller was born Oct. 29, 1940, in Seattle.
She grew up in Seattle and Poulsbo, graduating from King’s Garden High School in North Seattle.
She married Duane Miller on Nov. 26, 1958. After moving to Scotts Bluff, Neb., The couple both earned bachelor’s degrees from Kearney College.
Miller also earned a master’s from the University of Nebraska. Over the years Miller worked for Burlington Northern Railroad, Timberlands, FECO Property, and taught school. In the last 12 years before retirement she worked for the Kitsap Regional Library, serving Poulsbo, Silverdale and the East Bremerton areas.
Miller was a charter member of the new North Point Church in Poulsbo.
She is survived by a sister, Mary Jo King in Kansas; one brother, Ron Thompson in Seattle; and eight nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Dec. 5 at The Stone Chapel, 22272 Foss Road NE, Poulsbo.
