Former North Kitsap resident Bruce Miller died Feb. 28, 2004 in Bremerton. He was 62.

Miller was born to Toby and Betty Miller in Libby, Mont. on April 26, 1941.

He married Barbara A. Christopherson on Aug. 28, 1972 at the Brownsville Church.

Miller graduated from North Kitsap High School in 1960. He also took numerous job-related courses throughout the United States over the years.

He worked as a mechanic in the U.S. National Guard from 1961-1965 and then as a corporal in the civil service for 30 years. He retired as an explosives operator supervisor in 1996.

Miller was very talented at wood carving and collected and repaired antique clocks. He was a member of the Torquers car club as a young adult.

Miller is survived by his wife Barbara A. (Christopherson) Miller of Port Ludlow; sons Robert C. (Trisha) Miller of Port Hadlock and Dennis B. Miller of Seattle; sisters Patricia Seachord of Gorst and Linda Lowe of Suquamish; and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his daughter Zoe Anne.

A celebration of his life will be held from 2-5 p.m. March 14 at My Girl Drive-In, 9380 West Kingston Rd., in Kingston.
