Robert “Bob” Speer of Poulsbo died Feb. 22, 2004 in Yuma, Ariz. He was 72.
Speer was born on September 20, 1931 in Bowbells, N.D. His family moved to Seattle in 1942.
He was married to his wife Jane Speer for 53 years at the time of his death.
A member of the I.A.M. local 751, Speer worked for Boeing as a Research Mechanic and retired in 1990.
In 1995, the Speers moved to Poulsbo. He enjoyed wood carving, gardening and working in his shop. He was also an active member of the Sons of Norway.
Speer is survived by his wife Jane; daughter Karen; sons Fred (Valerie), Kenneth (April), and William “Bill” (Trish); and seven grandchildren.
A celebration of his life was held March 6.
