Donald G. DeWalt, 76
Donald G. DeWalt of Poulsbo died April 5, 2007 on Bainbridge Island. He was 76.
DeWalt was born to Darley and Gertrude (Klug) DeWalt in McLaughlin, S.D. on Feb. 24, 1931.
He married Joyce Tuttle on Feb. 14, 1953 in Mokelumne Hill, Calif.
DeWalt served in the Air Force from 1951-53 attaining the rank of airman first class.
He worked as a missile inspector at Subase Bangor and SWFPAC. He also served as reserve police officer in Folsom, Calif.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, Mariners baseball and his little dog, “Jake.”
DeWalt is survived by his wife Joyce DeWalt of Poulsbo; sons David DeWalt, Rod (Laura) DeWalt, Tim DeWalt, Corey (Rhonda Dupree) DeWalt; daughter Pam (Steve) Kelly; nine grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
DeWalt was preceded in death by his sister Patricia Cardinalli and son William “Bill” DeWalt.
A memorial service will be at 12 p.m. April 21, 2007 at St. Olaf’s Catholic Church in Poulsbo.
