Leta Mae Moon
March 16, 1923 – December 26, 2015
Leta Mae passed away on Dec 26, 2015. Surrounded by her loved ones at Harrison Hospital in Bremerton.
Leta Mae was Born on Mar 16, 1923 and was raised in Walhalla, North Dokata until moving to Bremerton, WA in 1941.
She married the love of her life Edwin A. Moon on July 31, 1943 in Kingston, WA and lived there until her passing. She was 92 years old.
Leta Mae worked at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, Bremerton, Than the Bremerton School District as head cook. Until pursuing her dream as a ceramic artist, opening her own business with having a ceramic teaching classes shop in kingston, WA.
Leta Mae taught Sunday School at Kingston Assembly God Church for 20 years along with missionette program for girls for 10 years, and belonged to the women’s ministries at Bayside Community Church.
She also drove a bus for the Special Needs Children to Holy Ridge School in Bremerton for many years after her retirement.
She is preceded in death by her Husband, Edwin A. Moon, Sisters Doris Tetrault, Ceelo Brocket, Son-In-Law, Wayne Munn and Grandson Jefery Munn.
Leta Mae is survived by her sister, Maurine and Husband Jack, Children Juainta Martin (Rich) Ronald Moon (Judy), Larry Moon (Teresa) Marcia Moon, Ricky Moon (Diane) and Carmen Scalzo (Mike) as well as her 15 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and 10 great great grandchildren as well as all her nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life service will be held at: Bayside Community Church 25992, Barber Cut-off Rd. in Kingston WA on Jan 9, 2016 at 11am.
Intermit will follow after reception at the church in Kingston cemetery of West Kingston Road.
