Elbert S. Benson, 93
Elbert S. Benson of Poulsbo died Feb. 25, 2004. He was 93.
Benson was born to James H. and Daisy B. (Morris) Benson in Torreon, Mexico on Feb. 2, 1911.
He married Jean Hammond in Fullerton, Calif.
Benson attended school in Texas.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II, achieving the rank of Corporal. Benson later worked as a printer for a printing company the majority of his life until his retirement.
Benson enjoyed reading, playing cards and games and Bible study. He was affiliated with the Baptist faith.
Benson is survived by his wife Jean H. (Hammond) Benson of Poulsbo and stepdaughter Martha J. Balmer of Poulsbo.
He was preceded in death by a number of siblings.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of The Stone Chapel at Cherry Grove Memorial Park of Poulsbo.
