Tom Mader of Poulsbo, a lifelong carpenter, went home to be with the master carpenter May 4 and his healing from cancer is now complete. Mader was born April 30, 1934, and entered his rest surrounded by family escorting his journey with psalms, hymns and spiritual songs.

There is simply not enough ink or paper to share his stories or the impact he had on those who were fortunate enough to meet or know him. From creative, artistic carpentry to coffee and conversation at Starbuck’s, Mader shared pieces of himself as well as the heart of his creator.

Mader loved his family more than anything on earth.

He is survived by his wife Faye, son Steve (Janet) Mader, son Don (Sherri) Mader, and daughter Sherri (Steve) Danielson. The imprint and legacy that he left on his family and friends will be felt for generations.
