Jon C. Fox, 43

Jon Clifford Fox died in Yakima Nov. 10, 2004. He was 43.

Fox was born Oct. 6, 1961 to James and Ellen (Nordberg) Fox in Tacoma.

He was raised in Kitsap County and graduated from North Kitsap High School.

Fox graduated from Eastern Washington University in 1984 with a B.A. in Business Administration and joined the Army.

He was a logistics officer in the Airborne and retired in 1994 with the rank of major. He later worked as a maintenance systems manager for Campbell Soup Co., as an assistant plant engineer for Armour Swift-Eckrich Co. and was a warehouse manager and a quality assurance manager for Del Monte Foods in Toppenish.

Fox enjoyed reading, golfing, running, scuba diving, gardening, woodworking and participating in a variety of team sports. He especially loved looking for bargains at yard sales and going to movies with his sons and playing Mario Cart with them.

Fox is survived by his wife Theresa Fox of Yakima; sons Chris, David and Michael Fox all of Yakima; daughter Tasha Fox of Poulsbo; sisters Jill Campy of Poulsbo, Jamie MacKenzie of Germany, Jodie Newman of Kingston, Dana Seevers of Bellingham, Wash. and Nadine Ice of Federal Way; brothers, Jeff Fox and Jay Fox, both of Bremerton; parents Ellen (Dan) Porter of Port Gamble, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father James V. Fox and brothers Jack, Jim and Robert Fox.

The funeral service was held Nov. 16 at Keith & Keith 9th Ave. Chapel. Burial will be at 1:30 p.m. Nov. 17 at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent. Keith & Keith Funeral Home, Yakima is in charge of arrangements.
