Howard K. Patterson, 88

Howard K. Patterson died June 4, 2005 on Bainbridge Island. He was 88.

Patterson was born to Rachel I. (Taylor) Patterson on Aug. 19, 1916 in Nampa, Idaho.

He married Millie E. (Stanford) Patterson on Dec. 2, 1939 in Nampa, Idaho.

He graduated from Nampa High School in Nampa, Idaho.

Patterson worked as a heavy equipment mechanic in Bangor and Keyport and served in the Navy during World War II.

Patterson enjoyed farming, fishing, working with animals and repairing watches among many hobbies.

He was a member of The Crystal Grange #1126, VFW Post 4992 and a member of First Christian Church in Bremerton.

He is survived by Millie E. (Stanford) Patterson of Poulsbo; son Ken Patterson of Tacoma; brothers Bill Patterson of Nampa; and Hoyt Patterson of Portland, Ore.

A memorial service was held on June 10 at First Christian Church in Bremerton. Inurnment followed at Tahoma National Cemetery.
