Jamie Marie Osborn of San Diego, Calif., and formerly of Poulsbo, died Sept. 3 at Sharp Memorial Hospital in San Diego of complications associated with Multiple Sclerosis. She was 59.
Osborn was born Sept. 16, 1949, in Tonasket to Mary and James Eberlein. She grew up in Tonasket with her younger siblings Bill, Janis, and Fred. During her youth, Osborn was active in the Campfire Girls and The International Order of the Rainbow for Girls, where she served as the Worthy Advisor of the Rainbow.
She graduated from Tonasket High School in 1967 and continued her education at Western Washington University in Bellingham. On March 15, 1968, she met David Bruce Osborn at WWU. They were married six months later on Sept. 15, 1968, in Tonasket.
David’s Navy service took Jamie to places spanning from Japan to Washington, California, Iowa, Missouri and Virginia over the nearly 41 years of their marriage. Osborn earned her bachelor’s of business administration from the University of Puget Sound in 1982, graduating cum laude.
She is survived by her husband David; daughter Jill, sons Jim and Andy, daughters-in-law A. J. and Stefanie, and grandchildren Daniel and Gwenie, all of San Diego; her mother Mary Waller and stepfather James B. Waller of Poulsbo; her brother Bill Eberlein and family of Twin Falls, Idaho; her sister Janis Gordon and family of Monmouth, Ore.; her brother Fred Eberlein and family of Kirkland; her brother-in-law Randy Osborn and family of Bellingham; and her sister-in-law Susie Osborn and family of Kenmore. She was preceded in death by her father James Albert Eberlein.
