Shirley Elizabeth Carbaugh, 78

Shirley Elizabeth Carbaugh, 78, died Aug. 4, in Arlington.

She was born to Earl and Violet Lounsbury Aug. 15, 1929, in Royal Oak, Mich. Carbaugh worked as a meat cutter for various grocery stores in California and Washington for 23 years. She enjoyed painting.

Preceding Carbaugh in death was her husband of 51 years, Gordon Carbaugh; son, David Carbaugh: siblings, Les Launsbury and Irene McKechine.

Carbaugh is survived by her children Larry (Gerry) Carbaugh of Hansville; Allen (Maria) Carbaugh of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; Andrea (Michael) Williams of The Dalles, Ore.; Faith (Marvin) Cox of Arlington; siblings Austin Lounsbury of Toronto, Canada; Wayne Lounsbury of Nova, Mich.; Elinor McPhaden of Ajax, Canada; 13 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.

Viewing was Aug. 6 and 7 and a memorial service was Aug. 7 at Weller Funeral Home in Arlington. Memorial donations may be made to NOAH (www.thenoahcenter.org).
