George Graves, 62
George Davis Graves died Oct. 21, 2006 in Bremerton. He was 62.
Graves was born to Kenneth Wilburn Graves and Edna Winona Esmay on March 18, 1944 in Tacoma.
He married Linda Wood.
He worked for the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and retired from Sub Base Bangor in August 2002. He also served as a volunteer at the Spanaway/Elk Plain Fire District No. 7 and Kitsap County Fire District No. 15, where he retired as a captain in 1994.
Graves served in the Navy until 1970 and was stationed aboard the U.S. Guadalupe off the coast of Vietnam during the Vietnam War.
Graves is survived by his wife Linda (Wood) Graves; sons Larry (Wendi) Graves, Todd (Felicia) Graves, Michael (Becky) Graves and Aaron (Cherish) Graves; daughter Elizabeth; brothers Kenneth, Edgar, Douglas and Forrest Graves; sister Judy Lange; his mother Winona Graves; and 12 grandchildren.
Visitation will be from noon to 1:45 p.m. Oct. 28 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints/Poulsbo First Ward with a funeral service at 2 p.m.
Interment will take place at Mountain View Cemetery.
