Thomas E. Swanson, 57

Thomas E. Swanson of Suquamish died Feb. 8, 2004 in Bremerton. He was 57.

Swanson was born to Harold E. and Evelyn A. (Wigant) Swanson in Bremerton on July 27, 1946.

He graduated from West Bremerton High School in 1964 and later from Olympic College.

Swanson served in the U.S. Army from 1969-1971, achieving the rank of sergeant. He later worked as an officer for the Kitsap County Sheriff’s Department for 13 years.

He enjoyed carpentry and remodeling his house.

Swanson is survived by companion Cheryl L. Berry of Suquamish; sister Zona Deweert of Vienna, Va.; nieces Sarah Deweert of Seattle and Rebecca Deweert of Baltimore, Md.; and extended family including Jennifer D. Sinclair of Portland, Ore. and Aaron M. Berry of Silverdale.

He was preceded in death by his parents Harold E. and Evelyn A. (Wigant) Swanson.

Services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel.
