Russell E. Foss, 89

Russell E. Foss died April 20 with his family at his side. Ross was born to Victor and Hilma Foss on August 26, 1918.

He married his high school sweetheart, Anne V. Jensen, on August 30, 1940. The couple, along with his two brothers, operated Foss Meat Packing for more than 30 years.

He is survived by his wife Anne, and four children, Nancy Foss, Gary and Gordy Foss, all of Poulsbo, and Roy Foss of Chimacum. A daughter, Janice Foss of Poulsbo, preceded him in death in 1997. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. at the Stone Chapel on Foss Road on May 3.
