Miles D. Pendergraft, 17

Miles Dylan Pendergraft of Poulsbo died Feb. 21, 2005. He was 17.

He was born to Leo and Shawn (Jacobs) Pendergraft April 12, 1987 in Bremerton.

Pendergraft was a senior at North Kitsap High School and involved in the Running Start program at Olympic College.

He was captain of the NKHS wrestling team and was on the NKHS track team. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing and especially swimming.

Pendergraft is survived by his parents Shawn Tyson of Poulsbo and Leo Pendergraft of Alaska; brothers Leo (Jennifer) Pendergraft of San Diego, Calif. and Joe Pendergraft of Poulsbo; sister Connie Pendergraft of Bainbridge Island; grandmother Helen Pendergraft of Suquamish; and grandfathers Al Jacobs of Poulsbo and Arthur Thornton of Detroit, Mich.

Visitation will take place from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Feb. 26 at The Stone Chapel in Poulsbo. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Feb. 27 at the North Kitsap High School gym.
